2025 TOURNAMENT TO HELP COMMEMORATE 30 YEARS OF LX – PLANNING COMMITTEE
LX is seeking to host an international tournament in Sep-Oct 2025, probably in Nottingham.
The plan is for it to be a WGMA event, that builds on the LX Oktoberfest that has been such a success over the past few years. It will also be a perfect way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of LX.
Graham Small is of course the main man, but it is important that we develop a sound plan to present to the WGMA at the earliest opportunity and then to place a date in all hockey diaries.
We are looking in the first instance to recruit a small planning team from our membership with specific skills or knowledge that will enable such a plan to be created. In particular, the areas where we are looking for volunteers to delve into now are:
- Site preparation and management (non-hockey facilities)
- Marketing and Promotion
- Technical liaison with WGMA
- Transportation
- Accommodation
- Social and Recreation
- First Aid / Medical / physio support
